The Yale Latino Alumni Association is pleased to present the inaugural Yale Latino Leadership Conference, “Advocacy in Action.” We are thrilled to be joined by experts in the fields of civil rights, education, media, and grassroots organizing. You will leave this leadership conference with the tools necessary to lead these conversations and take action in your respective communities and industries.

Hotel Information

The Omni New Haven Hotel at Yale is offering rooms at the special rate of $199 from April 7-9, 2017. You can book you room here.

The New Haven Hotel is offerring rooms at the special rate of $169 during the conference. You can book your room at 1-800-644-6835 and mention the group code “Yale Latino Alumni Conference.”

Frequently Asked Questions

What are we registering for? Do we have to pay to come to the conference? What are we paying for in the conference fees anyway?

Yes, you (and your guests) do have to pay to come to the conference. The fees pay for entry to:

  • Welcome Reception (which includes light hor d’oeuvres and refreshments);
  • Breakfast on Saturday and Sunday;
  • Dinner on Saturday night;
  • Panels on Saturday;
  • Opportunity to meet with current Yale students
  • Opportunity to meet the new Dean of La Casa, Dean Eileen Galvez;
  • Opportunity to see the newly renovated La Casa.

In addition, the Latinx Ivy League Conference will be happening concurrently, and registration to this conference affords you entry into any of their panels. We will be providing agendas with speakers and panel information for both conferences.

  • Classes 2000-2010: $105
  • Classes 1950-2000: $125
